October 7 -10, 2010
16th Annual Chuck Wilson Memorial Backpack for BENCHMARK
This 43.6-mile backpacking experience will be in the Roan Mountain, TN/NC area, specifically Indian Grave Gap to Campbell Hollow Road. We’ll leave Nashville Thursday early afternoon and return Sunday by midnight.
Difficulty: A demanding hike with incredible rewards if you are looking to see what you are capable of doing. Big hills and long views on clear days.
Cost & Details: Would you like to hike this fall and raise money for BENCHMARK? Hikers are asked to set a personal minimum fund-raising goal of $800 to benefit the ministry of BENCHMARK.
For hikers not choosing to fundraise, the cost is $320, which includes food, equipment and instruction. Some shared transportation costs from Nashville extra.
If you are unable hike with us, would you consider making a donation to sponsor a hiker? Pledges can be made on a per mile basis or as a single gift. Your generous involvement will continue this 17-year ministry.

Discovery Hike (11th Annual Entry-Level Funding Hike)
This backpacking experience will be between 10 -15 miles hiking over two days. We’ll meet Friday evening after work or early Saturday morning and return Sunday late afternoon.
Difficulty: An entry-level hike to allow you to gain experience and increase your backcountry skills in the quiet and simplicity of the wilderness.
Cost & Details: Would you like to hike this fall and raise money for BENCHMARK? Hikers are asked to set a personal minimum fund-raising goal of $600 to benefit the ministry of BENCHMARK.
