You do important work. You steward your mission. You are being asked to do more and more with less and less. Building a solid team with your staff, donors, board members and other volunteers is critical.

BENCHMARK will help you build your team as we develop clearer communication, greater effectiveness and a deeper relationship which will help move you in the direction you need to go.

BENCHMARK comes along side you and your team with custom designed training. We offer workshop and seminar sessions that use interesting methods to engage. Activities are interwoven in your own training program as we share the leadership roles. You determine the level of activity that is best for your team.

Building a solid team, knitted together, takes time. Let us help you fulfill your mission through customized training for you or those you serve.

“I was proud of myself for what I had accomplished and that I had persevered during the many challenges I faced. From this course, I learned that I can never give up. I also realized that I needed to work on putting my desires last and not to be so selfish. I learned that I could get through a difficult challenge.”

“As I look back on my relationship with James, it began in 1995 when I was a 15 year old in Truth and Peace Leadership Conference. Since then, I have partnered with Benchmark to teach leadership skills to a basketball team and to a youth group. And I’ve been privileged to help with a couple of Benchmark’s events along the way. But why? Why am I still–yes, still–hanging out with James after all these years? I think it comes down to one thing: James has shown and proven to me that he cares about me and anything that I care about. I first realized this, not at an event, but at a basketball game at Welch College. James probably doesn’t even remember this, but at some random game we happened to be sitting close together and he turned around and asked how we were doing.
So I told him. And that was that I guess.”

Having been exposed to BENCHMARK previously, I came into the experience with some anticipation and with a little “knowledge.” Yet, it was not even close to being the same experience. I also came to the BENCHMARK experience as a missionary with expectations that this should be good! And it was!! I was able to see God utilize young people in a way that rarely happens. Weaknesses were exposed, strengths were discovered, and relationships where formed. Each of our team members, in some form or another, grew in their walk with Christ and in their relationships with others. I believe that BENCHMARK was a catalyst that helped to achieve these relationships. This particular experience also reminded me that nobody is incapable of attempting a goal if TRUE teamwork exists. I hope and pray that BENCHMARK is able to continue in its ministry and in its goal to mess up the lives of others. It is more than worth the time and effort.
